Patience is wearing thin for Muschamp

Will Muschamp welcome is wearing thin.

Florida fans are ready to dump Muschamp for 70 zillion reasons, including their offense stinks, but also for a list that includes some facts. Like he can beat Georgia (0 3), the Gators (4 5, 3 4 SEC) lost to Vanderbilt in Gainesville for the first time since 1945, they lost four straight and now look like they miss a bowl for the first time since 1990.

Even former coach Ron Zook, who was 23 14 (16 8 in the SEC) at Florida, is looking good chi flat iron right now. The Gators are 22 13 (13 10) under Muschamp, which includes going 11 2 last year.

If losing on the road to Miss. State can get Ron Zook fired, losing at home to Vandy should spell the end for Will Muschamp. November 9, 2013

Veteran journalist Buddy Martin, who has written a few books about Florida football and now hosts a radio show in Ocala, gave 10 reasons why Muschamp should go in this post.

His list includes a wide range of reasons, including: Muschamp has damaged Florida brand, he hires poor offensive coordinators and chi hair straightener is surly with discontent fans.

But the biggest reason Martin points out is this: Florida State is riding high, chi hair products enjoying its best season in 15 years. The Seminoles won won two highly publicized games over top 10 opponents on national TV. They likely will play for chi straighteners the national championship. Freshman QB Jameis Winston chi flat irons is chi straightener a frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy.

FSU, coupled with Miami mini resurgence, drops Florida down on the list of big time recruits, making Muschamp job or the new coach job even tougher. Losing to Vanderbilt and missing bowls don sit well with the loads of talent coming out of Florida these days.

He get another shot, but next year might be his last. Coach boom will find work. He makes the players walk the line unlike the last head coach who only wanted to win and looked the other way on discipline issues. Not even Alabama 2nd and chi hair tools 3rd team QBs could win for Bama without the 1st guy being available. No way to make up for loss at QB and RB and losing a top 10 draftee at defensive tackle. And big chi hair straighteners bad SEC man, why don you try to wash the coaches mouth out. Better pack a lunch.

Shotgun weddings are a bad idea

I have reported http://www.nflbroncosofficialstore.com/18_peyton_manning_jersey_cheap that if Stephen Ross is moved to fire someone as part of the blame game for the locker room harassment scandal as a result of a season not meeting expectations, he is more likely to fire Peyton Manning Jersey general manager Jeff Ireland than head coach Joe Philbin.

Ross said nothing to separate himself from that report when he spoke to the media Monday night and poured the love on thick Philbin and didn mention Ireland at all, other than to say the general manager is on one of his two newly appointed committees.

No, I not saying firing Ireland is a mistake. I saying half measures are a mistake. I saying scapegoating is a mistake. I saying everyone in the Dolphins football side of the organization is responsible for the current state of affairs and picking one guy here or there to pin it on is a mistake.

I advocate full measures. If you going to fire, then everyone should www.nflbroncosofficialstore.com/78_ryan_clady_jersey_cheap go. If you going to keep folks, then keep everyone.

Why do I say this?

Because I tired of the Dolphins being a poorly run, embarrassing act that everyone else in Ryan Clady man Jersey the NFL views as a clinic for getting it wrong the past decade or so.

To me, firing an underperforming but keeping underperforming is like identifying a cancer but getting chemo for only part of the tumor. I see it as an incomplete measure.

Let start with the Dolphins themselves.

In January 2000, Jimmy Johnson who served as both coach and GM for the Dolphins retired. But rather than go out and start anew and seek a fresh direction, Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga allowed the man who was leaving to name his successor. Think of that. Don Shula, the winningest coach of all time, was ushered out by Huizenga and not allowed to name a successor.

And the organization got the Dave Wannstedt error as a result.

Wannstedt quit or was told he be fired thus left late in the 2004 season. Nick Saban was hired as coach in January 2005. And he kept Rick Spielman as the general manager.

It was a nightmare for both men.

Spielman left after one season under Saban. It was a mutual parting. (Yeah, right).

Saban hired Randy Mueller as his new GM.

And after one more season Saban left.

And Huizenga kept Mueller and promoted him, giving him say personnel. And in return Mueller had to accept the hiring of Cam Cameron. And Cameron was of a coaching stature that he had to accept Mueller.

And the Dolphins went 1 15.

When Bill Parcells was hired he cleaned house. It was painful to Mueller and Cameron, but the Dolphins were going in a new direction and Parcells wanted new people. Hey, you know what, it ultimately didn work. But I get the approach. I agree with the approach.

When the Parcells Tony Sparano Jeff Ireland trio obviously didn work, I would have expected owner Stephen Ross to start anew.

Of course, he did not.

He kept Ireland and, as a result, multiple high caliber coaches declined to even consider the Dolphins open coaching job in January 2012. Jon Gruden didn Bill Cowher didn The Dolphins got to the interview stage with Jeff Fisher but he wanted to bring his own personnel people and Ross wanted to retain Ireland.

So Ross to resort (yes, resort) to interviewing coaches who did not have the prominence, history or cache to able to their own personnel people. So Ross hired Joe Philbin.

The Great Depression hit Canada the hardest

By the time its economy reached bottom in 1932, Canada had suffered a staggering decline of 34.8 per cent in per capita gross domestic product. No other developed nation was as hard hit.

Canada was, and still is, a country dependent on trade. In the 1920s, commodities http://www.nflbroncosofficialstore.com/95_derek_wolfe_jersey_cheap such as wheat and lumber products, including newsprint, were particularly important. president Herbert Hoover signed into law the Smoot Hawley Tariff Act, which raised duties on many imports to historically high levels. This led to retaliatory tariffs and a drastic reduction of trade around the world.

It was particularly harmful to Canada, America's largest trading http://www.nflbroncosofficialstore.com/83_wes_welker_jersey_cheap partner, where export prices plummeted. The price of lumber fell 32 per cent from 1929 to 1932, and cattle prices declined 63 per cent. Smoot Hawley sent major Canadian pulp and paper companies into bankruptcy. Canadian automakers saw their exports collapse to 13,000 vehicles in 1931 from 102,000 in 1929. Manufacturing, in general, declined more than 50 per cent.

Unemployment reached an average of 32 per cent in Canadian cities. In Windsor, Ont., it reached 50 per cent. In the Maritime provinces, unemployment for ordinary labourers hit 60 per cent.

The human toll was greatest on the Canadian prairies, which suffered not just from the trade wars but from drought, deprivation and plagues of grasshoppers. By the time the Depression was over, one in 12 people had left the region for good, and much of the province of Saskatchewan had been reduced to a wasteland ravaged by natural disasters. In tiny Minton, most of the population of 890 depended on government relief and charity; even the town's chickens had to depend on relief feed. did. Bennett to copy Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal was ultimately struck down by the Privy Council in London, which was still Canada's ultimate Supreme Court.

And despite the human devastation, Canadians never turned in large numbers to " isms" communism and socialism preferring to keep their traditional political parties. True, in 1935 the people of Alberta Wes Welker man Jersey elected the Social Credit Party, which had unusual (one might say radical) views on monetary policy. But this was an exception.

Instead, Canadians muddled through the crisis with a makeshift combination of private and public charity. Private citizens in wealthier provinces recognized the plight of Saskatchewan and sent hundreds of carloads of fruit, vegetables and clothing westward. Bennett made a habit of sending money from his personal fortune to those who wrote to him pleading for help.

The government did construct relief camps for unemployed men, providing some low wage work and alleviating the threat of large numbers of jobless in the cities. The state also used force to suppress social discontent, most famously in 1935, when the unemployed organized an "On to Ottawa DeMarcus Ware man Jersey Trek" from the west. The movement got as far as Regina when it was met by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and local officers. The resulting clash left one police officer dead; a trekker died of wounds soon thereafter. The movement soon fizzled out.

In general, Canadians handled the Great Depression with a minimum of drama. Life was tough in a cold country, and people were accustomed to dealing with adversity. The economy picked up as the Second World War set in, and the phlegmatic nature of Canadians played no small part in the recovery.

As the Canadian historian James Gray observed, the Great Depression "brought out more of the best than it did the worst in people," offering a reminder that "people, if left alone, tend to work out their own problems for themselves; that expert advice, particularly in economic matters, is most useful when it is completely ignored."
